Dr Janine Crotty, BDS Adel.
Dentist
Tasmanian-born Dr Crotty graduated from the University of Adelaide, then returned to establish her dental practice on Macquarie Street in 1982. Dr Crotty has since developed a loyal client base over her 35 years of practicing dentistry in the Hobart community. Her patients enjoy seeing her because of her honest and ethical approach to quality dentistry.
Between practicing dentistry and running a successful business, Dr Crotty enjoys challenging herself physically as well. Cycling is a great passion of hers, and she has embarked on many long bike rides in Australia and overseas too.
Dr Crotty has been an avid sailor for over 40 years. Many of her sailing trips are enjoyed with her family sailing within Tasmania, as well as venturing up the east coast of mainland Australia. She has spent a time exploring the Great Barrier Reef and far north Queensland - but prefers to stay south during cyclone season!
Dr Mina Bassanti
Dentist
Dr. Mina graduated with a Bachelor of Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery in 2014. He spent over four years practicing dentistry overseas before moving to Australia to further his career. Prior to joining Dental Town, he practiced in both South Australia and along the East Coast of New South Wales for another four years, gaining valuable experience across a range of clinical settings.
Dr. Mina enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a particular interest in dental implants, TMJ disorders, orthodontics, and regenerative dentistry. He is committed to providing the highest standard of care and continually seeks opportunities to expand his knowledge and skills.
His approach to dentistry is built on trust and compassion—treating every patient as if they were a member of his own family.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Mina enjoys staying active through soccer, spending time outdoors fishing, and exploring new places through travel.

Dr Ka Sheng Loh, BDs QLD
Dentist
Dr Loh started at Crotty Dental fresh out of graduation and has been officially been working alongside our other dentists for 3 and a half years now! Dr Loh qualified from the University of Queensland and has proven to be a real hit with our patients and has been praised multiple times on his particularity with the procedures he performs and his gentle and calming approach towards his patients along the way. Dr Loh is the go to man for all our in chair whitening cases and our famous $390 deal! And has received amazing results throughout performing this service!
Dr Loh on the weekends when he isn’t working enjoys trying to get out and explore what Tasmania has to offer with his close friends who also reside here and if he isn’t here in Tasmania, he will be in Melbourne visiting his family or even Malaysia visiting his partner.

Dr Kirandeep Kaur, BDS
Dentist
Kiran completed her dental qualification (BDS) in India and completed her master’s in health education at the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom. Kiran successfully completed her Australian Dental council examination in 2021.
Kiran enjoys all aspects of General Dentistry and is always up for a challenge. She likes to see a happy smile on her patient’s faces after their visit.
Outside of dentistry, Kiran likes spending time with her family and loves exploring exciting new places.
Ms Angela King
Practice Manager
Originally from Launceston, our practice manager Angela completed her dental assistant certificate in 1992. She brings to the practice over 25 years’ experience in the dental industry.
“The secret to running a successful dental practice is a happy dental team. It is quite often a team effort to ensure a patient with a dental phobia has a positive dental experience.
Helping individuals to overcome their dental phobias and to achieve their personal goals is an extremely rewarding aspect of working in the dental industry.
Our philosophy of providing friendly, gentle and affordable dental care tailored to our patient’s wants and needs assists us in helping our clients to achieve these goals”.
Outside of the practice, you will find Angela catching up with friends and family, spending time in the garden or planning that next overseas holiday.
Miss Abbey Young
Dental Assistant
Born in Melbourne and raised in the northern suburbs of Hobart, Abbey completed her year 12 studies in 2017 and joined Crotty Dental shortly after to commence her traineeship in dental nursing , which she completed in August 2019.
"I really admire our dentists for the time and care they dedicate to each of our patients, and I find the technical aspects of instrument sterilising and processing interesting”.
With a passion for health and beauty and acting, outside the practice Abbey enjoys spending time with family and friends, participating in talent academy groups and perfecting her look for that special upcoming role.
Mrs Claire Wood
Dental Assistant
Claire has rejoined the Crotty Dental team. Originally from England
Claire moved to Tasmania in 1968 and started her Dental Career in 1977 at the Dental Therapy School in Newtown.
Since then Claire has work for numerous dental practices and also trained as an enrolled Nurse.
Outside of work you will find Claire looking after her Puppies a Maltese Shitzu Belle and Pug Zu Bozwell.
Claire loves doing Craft. In particular knitting scarves and Beanies for people in need and Crocheting Octopi and Jelly Fish for Premy Babies in Tasmania.
Claire likes spending any spare time with Family including Husband Dave their 7 children and 14 Grand Children..
